Leafy liverworts have gametophytic shoots with two or three rows of veinless leaves. The sporophytes are non-photosynthetic and grow upwards, mainly by cell expansion. P. platyphylla is extremely tolerant of drought and, like other liverworts, contains membrane-bound oil bodies.
You will be receiving Porella platyphylla Leafy liverwort which has been dehydrated for shipping, when she arrives just rehydrate her by spraying water on her, and within seconds she comes back to life. This carpeting plant is great for moist habitat terrariums. Liverwort loves to be as close to the water, water running over it, and can be submerged at a shallow depth. Your fish, lizards, frogs, and snakes will love this plant.
